Be. Employed is a unique nationwide programme that works with employers who are committed to being more accessible to a diverse workforce and connects them to young tertiary qualified talent with access needs.

Since our programme started in 2014, our wonderful employment team – Jake and Sarah – have placed more than 100 students into incredible career opportunities!

We are so incredibly proud of the achievements of our students, mentors, and all the employers that have committed to becoming accessible employers. They truly are examples of social change in action!

We have recently launched our Be. Employed campaign – Access Success. Find out how Be. Employed helped Steph (https://vimeo.com/233426134) find her graduate role at STUFF and Hariri’s (https://vimeo.com/235805665) role at the Auckland Art Gallery.

In this newsletter, we speak with 2 of our incredible interns about their employment journeys so far and what their goals and aspirations are. We also tell the story about the amazing Sudima Hotel and Resorts, and how they are working towards becoming an accessible employer.

P.S. Don’t forget our Be. Leadership applications close on the 31st of October. Get applying! http://www.beaccessible.org.nz/be-leadership
